Some possibilities ...

Now that Nick's family has gone home to Boston, and the house has settled back down to normal, I have the urge to do some sewing.  It's been several weeks since I've had a chance to be creative, and I'm trying to settle onto a project.

One of the of possibilities that I'm considering is Boho Heart, a UFO from last winter.  This Jen Kingwell design is absorbing and challenging.

And then there's this collection of 6" Rainbow Scrap Challenge blocks.  Close to 200 blocks here, so a lot to be creative with!

Hmmm, we'll see where my muse leads me :)

UFO completed

This was a UFO top made from accumulated Rainbow Scrap Challenge blocks, and it's been resting for a while.  Now it's quilted, bound, and ready for Rhiannon's visit!

RSC21: March - green

The half log cabin block set is growing.
Although my intentions were good,
I didn't accomplish much for RSC this week.

RSC21: February - yellow

Wow, this month has just escaped me completely -- February is DONE already!  I finished up the month's RSC-yellow with some additions to ongoing block sets.

The half logs are coming along nicely.

I also did some Letter Box blocks.  It seems as if quite a lot of these have accumulated -- I'm going to count them and see how close I am to a quilt's worth.

Angela has announced that next month's challenge color will be green, so I'm going to start thinking about blocks and UFOs to come.  Enjoy more yellow and rainbows at

RSC21: February - Yellow

Well, this isn't exactly 'yellow' but it is the completion of an old RSC project.  The last time I had these blocks out was late 2019.  I'm trying to finish up some dormant UFOs, so here we are with one done for February.

I like doing Burgoyne Surrounded blocks -- all rectangles, and very orderly, easy to piece.  This is the second Burgoyne quilt I've made, and I will definitely keep it on my list of blocks to do again someday.

RSC21 - February yellow

Our RSC challenge color for February is yellow, and I'm charging right out of the starting gate!  I had some nice yellow scraps in my basket, and I was able to quickly put together this sunshiney little nap quilt for Rhiannon.  I'll get the binding done during football tomorrow, and then it will go into the mail on Monday.

This is my first completion for 2021!

RSC21 - January Pink

Well, I wasn't intending to do Rainbow Scrap Challenge this year, but here it is: Saturday, and here I am: rainbowing.  No explanation, just habit I guess.

The January color is PINK, and wouldn't you know it? -- I do have pink scraps.😉  I'll start the year off with some half log cabins, and see where things go from here.  Angela is planning to offer a punctuation-themed sew-along called FULL STOP, and shared the first block -- a cute 'HASHTAG'  -- so that may be next.
