Gypsy Wife

I pieced this top last year using Jen Kingwell's Gypsy Wife pattern -- very challenging and lots of fun!  I'll be using the finished quilt here at home during the spring/Easter season.

This project will be linked as a completion for this quarter's Finish-A-Long.

Visions of Sugarplums

I'm very excited to report that I've finished piecing my Christmas Gypsy Wife top!  My target was to accomplish this by the end of October, so I can get the quilt finished by the holidays.  I love the way it turned out!  I think the key to success for this pattern is to use a huge variety of fabrics --there are more than 90 different retro and 30s Christmas fabrics in my version.

Onward to trimming, squaring, layering,
quilting and binding ...

I need to get these organized and pinned onto a design wall so I can see what will be positioned next to what.

Christmas Cards - Gypsy Wife

I had such fun working on my first Gypsy Wife quilt, I've decided to start another one.  This time I pulled an assortment of 30s-style Christmas fabrics.  Can't wait to see how this one develops!

Gypsy Wife

It's assembled!  I really enjoyed the challenge of creating this quilt, and I plan to do another one soon using different colors.
