Foothills

Woohoo, a finish!!  It's been a looooong time since I got a quilt across the finish line -- since April, I believe.  My medical problems and our travel really impacted my productivity this year.

This autumn-y "Foothills" quilt was a sew-along offered by Mary Elizabeth Kinch, started nearly two years ago.  I don't have a destination for it in mind yet, but I'm just so delighted to have something done!

Foothills

While drifting around this morning, looking for something to attract my attention … I ran across an entire set of blocks and scraps from this sew-along, undertaken last winter.

It was short work to assemble the blocks and add quick borders.  This top can be moved ahead to the To-Be-Quilted queue, and the project bag and scraps can finally be cleared off of my table! One by one, I'm finishing up my backlog of UFOs :)  Wow -- can we even imagine what it would feel like to have ZERO UFOs??!!

Tuesday

I'm in the home stretch on this RSC project -- a "red and blue but NOT patriotic" quilt.  Just need to turn the binding to the back during TV time!

And I got a few more blocks pieced for this

Foothills

The antique inspiration quilt for this sew-along features blues, reds and taupes.  It's a work-at-your-own-pace project, very convenient!

I've chosen "autumny" colors for my blocks, and got two more pieced today.  I plan to use rusty-orange sashing, similar to the fabric behind my blocks here.
