Pieces From The Past

#2 - Lost Goslin'

I got behind on some of my sew-alongs while we were down the hill visiting Lorenzo for his birthday.  I'm getting back into stride, and today the next installment of PIECES FROM THE PAST came out.  I'm doing this one because it has a 1900s-era theme, and I have a lot of 30s fabrics to use.  The blocks are coming from vintage Kansas City Star patterns -- easy so far, but I understand that they will get more challenging as we sew along.  My color scheme is an uncommon-for-the-time combo of orange, green and brown.

Pieces From The Past

And another sew-along beginning today:

This one will feature depression-era blocks taken from Kansas City Star patterns.  Melva will also be presenting information about family history and genealogy, and discussing letters from prisoners at a WWII POW camp.  The series will include 20 blocks in a variety of sizes and techniques.

#1 - Signature Block

I have an over-abundance of 30s repro fabrics, so I'm going to participate in this sew-along in an attempt to use some of it up.
