As I had planned, I got the bindings turned on these two small projects over the weekend!

Almost Amish

My Almost Amish top is done!

The final step was revealed yesterday at HUMBLE QUILTS, and it was easy to add the sashing and cornerstones and get it finished.   I did add a final black border to make the piece a bit bigger.  I'm happy with the colors I chose.  I'd just rummaged around in my solid stash and happened to come up good ... and of course taking a chance with colors is part of the fun when doing a mystery project!

It's now resting comfortably in my to-be-quilted basket :)

Small stuff

I'm all caught up with Humble Quilts'
 Almost Amish sew-along,

as well as Temecula Quilt Company's
 Dashing Through The Snow sew-along.

Both of these are tiny 3"block projects!

Almost Amish

I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Clue #2 of ALMOST AMISH, Lori's mystery sew-along, had been released this morning.  I worked on Clue #1 the other day, so I was ready to proceed.

So far, we've been making small 4-patch blocks with various combos of solid colors.  We've also cut a group of solid black squares.   We still have one more solid color to use -- in my case, the jade green.

I also found the small piece of zigzag print in my stash, and I think will work perfectly for my back.
