Feathers SAL

Today I received the participation patch and finisher pin from the
Alison Glass FEATHERS SEW-ALONG that I did earlier this spring.  Alison Glass activities are always beautifully run, a pleasure to participate in.

Real-life circumstances have interfered with my sewing time the past couple of months.  Hoping to get going again soon - I miss being creative.

Feathers and Stitch Club

A final photo of my completed Feathers quilt, from the Alison Glass sew-along earlier this year.  It's taking me such a long time to accomplish anything anymore.  But now it's finally quilted, bound, and ready for action :)

And I'm getting organized for the Stitch Club kantha project, which begins April 19.

Feathers

My color palette was inspired by our neighborhood parrot flock.
The pattern was absorbing and challenging, but well-written.  The sew-along was beautifully run over the time frame of a couple of months.  I'm a big Alison Glass fan and this was a great experience!

Feathers

Another sew-along that I'm currently participating in is

I love the brilliant colors available in the Alison Glass fabric lines, and this vivid graphic quilt is a fun way to showcase them -- lot of Alison Glass yardage in my stash!

I was inspired by our local Long Beach parrot population when I pulled my palette for this project.

Still more than a month to go with the sew-along, but I'm keeping up each week and I like my results so far!
