Old Fashioned Christmas and Tiny Tree

I worked ahead a bit, and finished up my version of
This is a low-key sew-along being offered by Pam Buda at Heartspun Quilts. I added the borders --  the sample didn't have them.  Pam gives clear, careful instructions, and I'm pleased with my little mat.

I'm also doing the teeny little blocks for Temecula Quilt Company's TINY TREE sew-along.  They are very small and very simple, and only take about 10 minutes as I begin my morning.

Old Fashioned Christmas

The first step of Pam Buda's OLD FASHIONED CHRISTMAS sew-along was released today.  Her post gives cutting info, and also offers lots of tips about accurate cutting and sewing.

I did my cutting early in the day, and also had time to start sewing a few of the blocks -- I'll return to this over the weekend.  So far, so good :)

Holiday minis

In case you're looking for some cute Christmas projects, here are a couple of sew-alongs that are starting soon:

OLD-FASHIONED CHRISTMAS
 Pam Buda
Heartspun Quilts
Nov 22 - Dec 13

TINY TREE
Sheryl Johnson
Temecula Quilt Company
Dec 4 - Dec 18

Both are small and quaint, and use very little fabric.  I'll probably work on both of them.
