Plugging along

Well, it's feast-or-famine here. I had that flurry of productivity last week, but haven't done anything interesting in my sewing room since. Just so I can share something, here are my two most recent Friday Block Party blocks, and the color groups they will be part of.

Meanwhile, I continue to work along on my Block-a-Day series. But I'm pretty far ahead with that, so no sense of urgency to get lots more blocks done right away. The next B-a-D color group that will get completed won't happen until mid-February, and then they draggle along at about the rate of one color set a month until the end of the year. Sloooow results.

I'm afraid I've let my Mountain Home Sampler series languish since the holidays. Most of those blocks need to be template cut, and I haven't been in the mood to focus on tracing templates. Another long drawn-out project. Sigh.

I think I need to undertake an exciting new project -- one that I can follow through to completion in the sooner-rather-than-later time frame. Everything I'm working on currently is "in for the long haul." I guess I need some immediate gratification :)

A small project sounds like fun!

love the colors in your Friday Blocks. I'm only a few days ahead on the Block-a-days so I'll be back at them tomorrow. I seem to sew in spurts as well. I've been going along pretty good so something should 'give' pretty soon. :)

Sampler quilts with all those individual blocks are fiddly and time consuming! I like to do a strip project at the same time - nothing like a good old log-cabin to cheer me up or something like that. But the sampler quilts are worth plugging away on because they are all so unique and interesting! Cheers! Evelyn

I'm not moving too fast either, but that's not new. Are the dogs sick of the snow yet?

We are an instant gratification generation, the new generation is a NANOSECOND one! I can't help but think of the reward you'll get by your preplanning all these color groups. Good job!

I love your sampler blocks, each one is so pretty. I am especially intrigued with the one with tiny blue check...kind of a nine patch variation. I could use something like that to use up my zillion 4-patches. You are getting so much done, congratulations!
