Thursday

Well, it's been a minute since I sat down with embroidery.  The last thing I stitched was the Schoolhouse Sampler back in July, before we went to Boston. This week I'm feeling like it could be a good time for some quiet introspection while plying the needle.  Embroidery is soothing and repetitive, just right for my current state of mind.  I'm actively choosing to prioritize self-care.

Rebecca Ringquist's Dropcloth Samplers are always fun, and they allow lots of leeway for creativity. She's just released a new series called Stitch Passports, so it's time for me to get going on this Stitch of the Month series that's been waiting for me since last winter.

Embroidery is definitely calming for me; nice sampler you have going there. I am invisible basting my 12.5" nine patch to its backing--very relaxing work...
Take care of yourself hugs, Julierose

The sampler looks like it's just the soothing activity that's needed right now. And yes, the Bishop is definitely a hero. Hope she doesn't suffer any repurcussions from the AH. I'm refusing to listen to the news and, wonder of wonders, so is the Resident Chef. Calm in face of the external storm.

Mariann is the hero of our time. What a brave and important thing to do- I admire her so much.
