RSC25 - January: pink
Not much this week, I'm pretty distracted.
Here's a block built using 2 1/2" strips, variously called
Split Rail Fence or Disappearing Rails.
First, sew up two squares and cut diagonally ...
... and rearrange. The resulting block is 10" finished.
The assembled blocks look complicated but are quite easy to sew.
And then these little corner units using leftover 2 1/2" bits.
Quick, but small.
I'll need to make a LOT of them to ever get to an actual quilt.

Pretty Disappearing blocks; you've really used up all those cut offs so well, Jeanne.
Hugs for a good weekend...Julierose
Spray starch is a good idea, thank you! I'm contemplating a new landscape which will have 'odd' edges so perhaps using some starch might make them behave better in the short term.
Those 10 inch blocks are really neat! And so fun to have the extras turn into something, too. I'm with you on Abominable and all of its synonyms. So frustrating that we are there.
Great use of those PINK scraps, Jeanne!
