Log Cabin Quickie

Well, nothing like not sticking to a plan!   I just learned that I'll need an "autumn" gift next month, so I decided to jump ahead with the log cabin blocks piled on the corner of my work table, instead of working on Hospital Sketches this week.

It was quick work to assemble the log blocks into a nice table mat.  I'll get it quilted by the end of the week, and work on the binding over the weekend.  It'll be ready to go by my November target date!

It feels so good to have something come together quickly like this project. I turned out really nice.

Plans are bound to run amuck from time to time (or in my case MOST of the time!). This is going to be a welcome gift I'm sure!
