Grandmother's Choice - week 5

This week's block is New Jersey.

It is my intention to set these blocks directly together, with no sashing, in a 7 x 7 grid.  I'm alternating each week between the light used as background and a yellow background, so the blocks will eventually have sort of a subtle checkerboard color effect.

I'm loving your colors for these blocks. Will be a wonderful late Summer early Autumn quilt. I find myself more and more drawn to no sashing no borders for quilts.

Your blocks look great. How did you apply the crisscross? Mare

Hi Mare,
The cross is pieced in. The block looked confusing at first, but then I turned the diagram on the diagonal and it went together easily.
