An old UFO

I've finally settled on something to work on this month -- didn't do anything at all last week except the one Civil War block.  I just couldn't talk myself into doing yet another B-a-D block set.  I'm REALLY tired of those sampler quilts!!!

So here's a UFO that dates back to 2007, which hasn't seen the light of day since last January.  Haha, if I'd work on these things more than once a year, it would take less than 4 years to get them completed, huh?  :)

I actually got this layered and pinned today.  We'll have to see how the quilting comes along -- it's queen size.  If I get it done in time, I'm going to substitute it in for the March UFO Challenge, instead of the one that really came up.

In the photo, taken from the upstairs landing, you can also see cases of Pergo flooring and paint charts and furniture lined up out of place along the walls.

The upstairs redecorating project that began in January is still chugging along slooooowly -- the house has been a mess for two months now.  All the old wallpaper has been removed, everything painted, new crown moldings and baseboards added. We're getting new carpet installed the end of this week, up the stairs and in the bedrooms.  Still have to do new closet doors and ceiling fixtures, plus wallpaper and flooring in the sewing room.

Target for completion is the beginning of April.  It's been keeping Tony busy and out of trouble this winter!  I'm kind of planning that he'll be done just in time to start spring gardening :)

That's a great quilt. Are we supposed to work on quilt more than once a year?

I really like that quilt, very pretty. I pull out my UFOs aabout every other year, look at it, fuss over it, and usually it gets put away again in favor of something new.No wonder I never seem to finish!

what a great feeling to finish up a UFO - CHEERS to you! ;)

I'd also finish up projects much faster if I worked on them more often.

Love from Texas! ~bonnie

Gorgeous quilt! Glad it came out to play again before it turned 5. You must be very tired of your house being a mess, especially when you are indoors so much over winter! Hope it all smooths out just fine.

Your quilt is lovely! My UFO's lie unattended. I keep the hope of 'one day'!
