And another one bites the dust!

Yippee, I finished another color set from my B-a-D project!!!! These blocks go all the way back to the beginning of January, so I'm REALLY happy to wrap this set up.

Summer is a busy time! This week we were proud to attend a home dedication for our local Habitat for Humanity group. Tony has put in a lot of volunteer hours helping get the house completed. The new owner, a single mom, is as sweet as can be, and is just thrilled to own a home. We also had a great time attending the Historical Society's annual potluck supper, and enjoying the bluegrass music of our local Holcomb Valley Boys while watching the sun set over the mountains. On Tuesday evening we saw Knight and Day, the Tom Cruise/Cameron Diaz action movie, and while I'm not necessarily a fan of shooting and car chases, I thought the comedy lines were laugh-out-loud great! My tomatoes are not growing at all -- I think it gets too cool here overnight for them -- but we got a row of raspberry and blackberry bushes planted the other day. Add to all this my usual round of Farmer's Market, gardening and housework, museum docent shifts, errands, and aging-parent obligations, and the week has just flown by. Life is good!

Habitat for Humanity is such a good cause! What a difference that home will make for that mom and the impact on her family can only be positive. Love the quilt pieces and it sounds to me that life is indeed good...blackberries....yum.

It is so good to know that small town life is keeping you both busy and engaged--but I have a feeling you two have been this way always. The B a Day groupings look great. Very satisfying!
