This green set is really blah -- it'll need some sparking up -- but I am accomplishing my goal of using tired fabrics from my stash. Since the blocks are all pretty close to the same size, I'll probably sash up the smaller ones, and then come up with some interesting alternating blocks.
The red-white-and-blue set is better, brighter. I'm thinking along the lines of doing four more filler blocks to enlarge the layout, and then navy blue sashing, since I have a nice big piece I can use. No hurry on this one -- since Fourth of July has already passed, I have until next June to get it done.

Way to go! It did seem like forever before having enough for a top. Like both your's and will look forward to how you put some 'spark' in the green set!
Now you see I looked at the green set and thought how gentle, calming and subtle they looked - strange how perceptions are so different
i agree with Anne...i think the green squares are quite pretty, and will make a lovely quilt :)
That is fun to see the blocks laid out waiting for inspiration!
I've always admired the lay outs you devise when working with a collection of different sized blocks; I'm not confident enough. I especially like the greens... and the one little hst in the pine tree block turned the wrong way; we rarely see those until it's sewn together!
