It's been a busy week!
Dad got the keys to his little cottage on Monday, and we spent the whole week getting everything turned on/installed/steam cleaned, etc.
He and Tony are "down the hill" for the weekend, overseeing the furniture loading at that end. The moving truck will come up here Monday to deliver his things, and then he'll officially be a Big Bear resident.

So I'm alone this afternoon! A rarity for me!
Measuring borders for the autumn sampler top seemed too challenging today, so I decided to do something different with my spare (haha) time. I unearthed this very vintage Rose and Hubble panel and stitched up a pair of quick sofa pillows. I'm still anxious for autumn, and these birds and berries hit the spot today :)

1. Awakening to the sound of a good soaking rain this morning
2. Rye toast
3. Chickadees chirping in the pine outside the back porch
4. A day of solitude

Rain, now there's a novelty! I'm glad to hear things are getting settled for the senior members of your Big Bear branch of the family tree :)
Those robin cushions are very pretty.
Glad to see that everyone is getting settled.
He appears to be happy about settling in. 8-)
Lovely cushions! Precious alone time!
Lovely to think your father is going to be settled close to you.

Really pretty pictures. As much as I adore my family, those alone times are so therapeutic, too.
