Onward to the next decade ...

I enjoy this excerpt from Ceremonials of Common Days by Abbie Graham.  It was the inspiration for one of my philosophies of life: I've always made it a practice to celebrate every day as special, even the ordinary ones -- Ceremonials!

The very precious gift that I received yesterday from my family was this list of ways our days have been special.  It would seem that my efforts have been noticed :)

Happy Birthday!! The 70 Things We Love About You is a lovely tribute to wife, mom, and grandma. We know our families care about us but it's nice to have it in writing. Earlier this year I turned 70 too. Our son, from SLC Utah, called to say a gift was being delivered and I needed to be home to sign for it. My gift was he and family driving 11 hours to visit for a week! It could not have been a better gift. Enjoy your birthday and celebrate all month.

What an amazing birthday gift! Your family is so thoughtful to come up with that idea. Hope you enjoyed your day (and I'm sure you did!).
