I'm still stitching along on my SCHOOLHOUSE SAMPLER, spending peaceful evenings with embroidery and the Olympics.
Oddly, though, I've slowed down on quiltmaking. I don't have any completions at all yet this year, and none coming up soon. I have a list of my UFOs, but they don't seem to catch my attention. My energy and focus have changed. I'm not sure what this will mean for me long term, but for now I'm just going to keep working on the block sets I have started.

Ah - your comment feature is back! I like your sampler - perfect to work on if you're watching the Olympic coverage. We rarely watch (DH isn't a huge fan) and just see the daily highlights.
I absolutely love quilting but lately I've been in kind of a slump. It might come from trying to get so many UFOs done in the last year. I was working like punching a time clock instead of being excited for the stitching time. It also could be because I need to learn something new and different. In the meantime, I'm still working on UFOs (and getting things finished).
What a simply lovely sampler you are stitching--so bright and cheerful--
beautiful work hugs, Julierose
Your sampler is lovely with all it's bright colors and different stitches. Since Christmas, I've been in a quilting slump. Cross stitch has been my sewing pleasure. The other day I saw a 2 block quilt that sparked my interest. Very simple...a 9 patch and the alternate block was snow balled in the corners. The colors were white and a melon pink. It's been in my head and I do have the material so maybe slowly my quilting enthusiasm is returning. P.S. I know we need rain but aren't you loving this warm weather? I'm enjoying some outside stitching.
