It feels like the long nightmare has finally ended, and we can begin to look to the future with hope and joy. What an atrocity this past four years has been! I know we still need to get through the final weeks of transition, but at least we can set our sights toward a better future.
And this moment in history is especially precious because we have a woman in office at last! I sincerely believe women see the world from a different perspective than men do, and that difference is most certainly a good thing!
I'm spending some time with my thoughts, setting new goals and
dreaming new dreams. I believe in love and compassion and honor and truth and joy. I value striving for the common good over working to protect my own interests. I seek the best in a person or a situation rather than the worst. I try always to be responsible for myself, and to treat others with respect and dignity. I have hope.

You are a better person than I. I am grateful that we've made this change, but I am cynical about what it means for our country when nearly half of us supported the stuff that nightmares are made of. It will take decades to repair that damage that has been done, if it is ever repaired at all, but here and in our relationships abroad. Even so, for this moment, I celebrate. :)
Indeed, let's celebrate ! In HOPE, FAITH, and LOVE ...
XOXOXO

Beautiful graphic. While it is quite concerning that slightly half the people voted the other way, at least this time we are on the right side of democracy.
Well said Jeanne! I'm excited to see what happens over the next four years, although I know it's not going to be easy. The world will be watching, that's for sure - not only the new President but the Vice President too.
