RSC20

My rainbow-y achievement this week has been finishing up my AURA top. I worked ahead through the rest of
the spectrum.

Two observations:
1.  Fabric colors look much different when they are sewn together into a quilt than they do folded and piled on the table -- colorplay was the main reason for doing this project, and I had some unexpected results.  I'm rating it a "meh."  But I am looking forward to my next bright rainbow-y project.
2.  I officially hate paper-piecing.

This was a useful learning project, but I don't like my result as much as I'd hoped I would.

Methinks that comment I see above this is a scam...just thought you'd want to know. And...I wouldn't be the least bit 'meh' about your project because I love the colours!

I think your RSC top looks awesome!! Gotta say, I agree with you about paper piecing. While it has its place, I'm SEW not a big fan!

looks great Jeanne. I LOVE paper piecing but angles are a challenge, there are ways to make them easier and come out right when flipped

What I like about Aura is that it looks three dimensional! Good for you for sticking with it!

Paper piecing is so tedius, but it creates BIG results. I totally agree. Fabrics pretty and folded in the bin turn out differently once they land in a project. Happy sewing!

I agree... color is never what it seeks when I picked it. Also, I too am in the anti-paper piecing crowd. I do love the results of paper piecing, but I never cut my fabric large enough or something, so my results are awkward at best.
