Warm Hearts

I'm having the chance to do hand work as we travel in the car this month. The first block of my WARM HEARTS project is under way, and I'm very much enjoying doing the hand applique!

We've travelled just about 1000 miles thus far: north through California, Nevada, across the corner of Arizona and on into Utah, and then east across Utah and into Denver, Colorado.  We've done this drive before.  The Utah rock formations, and then the trip through the Rockies -- notably Glenwood Canyon -- are
absolutely breathtaking.

I visited the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum yesterday, (on my quilty bucket list!!!) and especially enjoyed the Miniature Quilts exhibit from the Tina Gravatt collection.  Their gift shop was very nice also.

We're on our way to visit son Nick, daughter-in-law Stacey, and granddaughter Rhiannon in Boston.  We'd started out on this trip in April, and then I got so sick that we turned back.  This time I'm well, and we're going to make it!  So far, so good :)

I'm envious.. We used to live in Grand Junction and frequently went through Glenwood Canyon. Enjoy your trip.

Waving at you from Loveland, just an hour north of Denver! Glad you're able to make the trip now, and enjoy your stitching along the way!
