PIZZA
1 cup warm water
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon yeast
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 cups flour + additional
2 tablespoons olive oil
Your choice of toppings
Combine all ingredients to form a soft dough.
Knead for several minutes until smooth, adding more flour as needed .
Cover dough to prevent drying out and let rise 1/2 hour or more.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Press dough onto parchment paper to form a crust that's about 10" x 14".
Preheat oven to 450*.
While oven is preheating, spread your desired toppings over crust.
For this pizza, I used about 3/4 cup pizza sauce, 1 cup crumbled cooked Italian sausage, 12 oz. sliced fresh mozzarella, and dried oregano, fennel seed, dried basil and garlic powder to taste.
Bake in very hot oven 12 - 15 minutes until browned.
About 8 servings
