A completion!
Angela, our Rainbow Scrap Challenge hostess, has challenged us to actually USE the colorful blocks we keep making each month, and to work toward a completed quilt. I chose to make a quilt from my
mini bow tie block set.
These blocks have been accumulating since a swap that was organized in 2014. I added more bow ties several times in the meanwhile, and this month found myself with more than 90 blocks. I made up a final few more -- purples for this month's challenge color -- and settled on an acceptable arrangement. Nothing symbolic, just random drifts based on how many I had of each color. Each bow is outline quilted.
This quilt is slated to be a RAK support gift to a good friend who will appreciate a rainbow quilt at this disturbing time in history.
(Yes, that is a political statement.)
I'm delighted to have finished this quilt!
