So meanwhile, I've been sporadically sewing along on "Be My Neighbor", a weekly free pattern from The Quilted Crow. The series started in September and runs through December, with new block patterns coming out on Mondays.
My version is going to be smaller, and is set in a winter night. I'm only using selected houses, and I've repositioned them and added snow drifts and extra trees. I'm planning to do one more row, and add some embroidered details. I might also add some applique shapes, such as snowmen, but haven't really planned that far ahead yet. So far, I've just been puttering along as the spirit moves me :)
