I've been absorbed with this challenging project recently: a traditional Giant Dahlia Christmas tree skirt. It involves making (many!) templates, fussy cutting, and piecing curved seams, so each step of the process has been slow and mindful.
It's about 50" in diameter. I have to take in the seams a bit to encourage it to lay flatter before I sew that Dresden onto the center.

Since our huge wildfire here last month, I've fallen out of the habit of regular blogging. Life has just been rolling along ahead of me. I may finally be on the verge of a new chapter ...
