Monday

I'm feeling hopeful this afternoon.  We've been working hard to make the right arrangements for Dad, and it seems like everything is finally going to fall into place.  If all goes according to plan, we'll be moving him to an assisted living residence later this week.  It's a difficult decision, but he needs to have more care than the two of us can provide here at home.  He likes the new place, and is anxious to move and settle in.  We're hoping that this arrangement will make him comfortable and safe for his remaining time.  It's been a challenging couple of months.

A challenging two months indeed but hopefully this will be the light at the end of the tunnel and then you and Tony can have some time of your own - hope it all works out quickly to everyone's satisfaction xxx

It is so hard caring for our aging parents. Remember to take care of yourself.

I had to do that for my Auntie. It really is a tough decision to make but for piece of mind it is invaluable.
