RSC14 - Blue: January week 3

Good results to share for my Blue report this week!

I started the month with these few assorted
blue 30s repro swap blocks:

And here's where I'm at now:

My 30s repro scraps are kept in a different container than my regular blue scraps, and all the colors are mixed together, so this was a special selection activity.  I picked out as many blue bits as possible, and the 30s blues have been exhausted.

I do want this project to be larger, but I'm now at the point where I'll be moving into 'cutting new fabric' rather than 'consuming scraps.'

And there's still one more week of blue to report, so I'll have to come up with something else to share ...

More RSC14 inspiration here

I often get bored with blues and I seem to have more blue than any other colour in my stash - but these blocks have whetted my appetite - so pretty

It is always difficult when working on a scrap project, to realize that you are running out . It would be easier to cut into yardage , but it does change the reason for the project . Your blocks look great!

You got a lot of blue blocks out of your scraps. They look wonderful. This challenge has made me look at my scraps differently. Some of my best quilts are made out of scraps.

Love your 30s blocks - such a soft look.
Don't worry about cutting into fabric. I have to do that since I had very few scraps of blue. (I think my definition of "scrap" is different than others'.)

Beautiful blocks; you have been busy.
As for cutting into new, I'm sure everyone has to do it sometime. It just shows that "busting stash" completely can never happen - the more you use, the more you have!
