A wintery scrap quilt

 

I spent a couple of hours today playing with scraps, and look what happened! 

 

It's been sort of a dry spell in my sewing room -- Thanksgiving somehow seemed to absorb the whole past week, not just one day.  Anyway, these scrappy 9ps, leftovers from an earlier project, have been "in progress" in a pile on my worktable for a while now.  I decided today to just get them done, no more excuses.  This top still needs borders, but at least all those loose little pieces are no longer fluttering around!

 

While I was assembling the rows, I had a chance to start thinking about what big projects I'd like to work on next year.  I won't be the Comfort Quilts Chairman for my guild any longer -- I've put in three successful years in that position -- so I should have more time to work on my own projects.  Several ideas simmering ... more on this later :)
