Wednesday

It appears that our manhunt drama is concluded. Sadly, two more lives were lost during this event.  We are looking forward to having the news vans and helicopters leave our pretty little town, so we can settle back down into peaceful anonymity.  All in all, a tragic and sobering experience -- it's so sad that some people think the only way to resolve their own problems is to kill others.

While watching many hours of TV coverage yesterday, I finished the binding on this Wounded Warriors quilt.

It's one of the quilts we started at the guild workday last month, and I layered and quilted it here last week.  We used Judy's pattern for this project.

A perfect little quilt - I love the antique look of this one.

It is so good to visit you again Jeanne. And what a beautiful place you have moved to! I envy you that beautiful snow. I've started quilting and blogging again, and have missed all my Internet quilty friends so much. Please come visit!

Love your quilt, especially the colors you used.

My husband and I had planned on going up to Angelus Oaks this Friday (he loves that place), but will now wait. I know you all will love the peace and quiet again, but sadly all the lookly loos will be up there.

I do hope all gets back to normal soon for you all.
blessings, jill

I thought of you when I heard this was happening in Big Bear. I love reading your blog and the pictures you post of where you live are so pretty. When I was a child, I lived in San Bernardino for 5 years when my dad was in the Air Force. We visited Big Bear many times for camping trips and just to play in the snow. Great memories.

I'm glad it is over, too, but sad about the entire thing, from beginning to end.

Your quilt is just lovely! It reminds me of something that might have been made during the War Between the States. Gorgeous.

Have a lovely weekend. :)
