A little treasure

Yesterday we did a round of the local thrift shops in search of *interesting* stocking stuffers -- a fun and successful venture.

While hunting for treasures, I happened on this enchanting little quilt lady.  She's a clothespin doll, with lovely detailing.  The tiny quilt is actually hand quilted!  And the really amazing thing is the signature on the bottom ... she's been keeping someone company here in the valley for more than 30 years!  I don't know the maker -- she's not currently a member of the guild -- but next time we have a meeting I'll see if anyone remembers her.

And now this little friend will keep me company in my sewing room, hopefully for the next 30 years!

GRATITUDES

1.  It's been raining on and off for two days, but no drips in the family room -- we're keeping our fingers crossed that the roof issue is completely resolved.
2.  Baking cookies and wrapping presents with Christmas music playing in the background
3.  Eggnog tea -- a holiday *find* at the grocery store!

What an awesome treasure! I love the fact that it is signed...maybe you can find the person who made it and share your delight.
