Odds and ends

Sookie, our Boston grandpuppy, is getting to be a big girl -- she's looking a little less like a baked potato. Here she was visiting with her mother a week or so ago. This photo came in an email from Nick last night -- sounds like he's planning to come out here for a visit in early December!

My LQS, Patchworks, has just moved to a bigger storefront. The new location is only 1/2 mile down the road from me! I stopped in for rotary blades and chatted with the owner. She's planning to expand her fabric inventory in the larger shop -- hopefully more variety than the almost-all-batiks she carries now. I cast my vote for homespuns and repros :)

A quilt shop a 1/2 mile walk from your house? Oh my that could be dangerous!!

oh wow! Within walking distance??! You are so lucky. I am thinking with you being new to town, you could give them quite a trunk show of all your beautiful creations :) or teach some classes. Tell her - will work for fabric ;)

Love from Texas! ~bonnie

That's a cute picture of the puppy. Funny how you called her a baked potato. That made me smile. I hope your LQS gets your homespuns and repros. I am not a batik fan, so I'd really be hoping the same thing.
