Spring Fling

I'm delighted to have finished SPRING FLING, a lovely design by Dropcloth Samplers!  I'm hopeful that I have the right size vintage hoop to set it into for display.

I'm going to think about my next embroidery project for a couple of days while my fingers rest.  Meanwhile, I feel like getting back out to the studio for some sewing -- perhaps my dry spell has ended.

Like many of you, I find myself struggling more and more each day to get past the doom-and-gloom stuff and just be alive and normal.   I've set up a stack of cheerful ginghams and a very easy pattern, and I'm going to try to distract myself.

Amazingly, I just completed cycle #37 of my meds. It's been three years since my diagnosis of Stage IV cancer. I thought I'd be gone by now ... but the meds are still working, and when their effectiveness starts to diminish there will be others I can try.

Sigh.  My perspective on life has certainly changed in this intervening three years.
