This week I donated all my on-hand comfort quilts to a local fire relief effort, so today I'm newly motivated to replenish my comfort quilt supply. Accordingly, here's my first PINK blockwork of the year for RSC 25:
Uneven 9-patch blocks using a set of Alison Glass batik fat quarters
And randomly scrappy classic log cabins.
I'd say that log cabins are my favorite block -- I've produced *many* log cabin quilts through the years, and I'm always up for starting another one.

Up in LA, miles and miles of devastation and rubble, the scope is difficult to comprehend. We're about 25 miles south of the fires.

I didn't realize you live in LA - it must be so heartbreaking for you to see the devastation. Hopefully you're in a safe zone.
I like log cabin blocks too and have sometimes thought that if I ever were to do a quilt that would be the block I would choose.
So sorry for the devastation caused by the fires. That's a good start on blocks to replenish your comfort quilt stash.
