Looking Back

I only made 15 quilts and three mats this year, a huge drop from previous years' tallies.

I read 62 books, a similar number to earlier years.

I spent time in Boston this summer, for the first time in 5 years.  The travel experience was challenging but doable, and the visit with family was priceless.

I've started actively withdrawing from the racket of the world.  Less online time translates to more reading time and more stationary bike time and more studio time.

I'm reaching the point where I don't have much more to say.

I think you did well to complete that many projects! I think my online activities will be drawn back in 2025 as well, if only so I can avoid having to be influenced by all the angst that will be going on in the world. I suspect it's all going to be too much. Instead, I will spend more time visiting my favourite bloggers, working on Ancestry, and creating things in my sewing room. I figure my own mental health is more important than knowing what's going on in the world.

I'm with you on disconnecting. Sometimes I think technology is too much - we get hooked on doing nothing and get nothing accomplished. Hope your new year brings you peace and joy.
