Meandering

January is passing quickly.  I'm always appreciative of these simple quiet days after the busy cluttered holiday season.  I'm not participating in any new sew-alongs this year, preferring instead to work on my own areas of interest at my own pace.  I'm up-to-date with my only two current ongoing projects -- Phoebe's Favorite and Bramble Blooms.  So my decks are clear for something new!

I've decided that I'm in the mood for doing some traditional piecing and for using an assortment of French General fabric that I've had stowed away for quite a while.  I have two tubs full of this fabric style, at one time sorted and organized into reds, blues, yellows, greens and pinks -- but both tubs were in a bad jumble.  I've settled on working with the reds and blues.  The last time I had this fabric collection out and active was back in 2022 for the Brackman American Stars BOM, and prior to that I used it for this pretty quilt that has since been gifted away.

I want to make a red and blue quilt that is NOT patriotic -- these are soft traditional prints with nary a star or stripe or eagle in sight!  Further organizing and planning to come ...

What a gorgeous array of fabrics; lovely mix of these softer values...I will be looking forward to seeing how these come together in your chosen pattern...

Such pretty fabrics to choose from! These will make a beautiful quilt, for sure.
