REGINA - ITALIAN SESAME COOKIES
1 1/4 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
8 Tbl. butter, softened
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup sesame seeds
Combine flour, sugar, salt and baking powder in a mixing bowl.
Add butter, egg, and vanilla, mixing to form a smooth dough.
Shape into a ball, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate 2 - 3 hours.
Prepare two cookie sheets with parchment paper.
Preheat oven to 350*.
Divide chilled dough into thirds, and roll each third into a log about 1 inch in diameter.
Cut the logs into roughly 1-inch pieces.
Dip each piece into milk and roll in sesame seeds.
Arrange on prepared cookie sheets.
Bake 12 - 14 minutes until lightly golden brown.
About 30 cookies

These look good! I can remember my grandmother making something similar or maybe she used the same recipe.
