We've taken possession of the new house, and go over there to putter every day: it's only a couple of miles from here. Still getting the utilities sorted out, but that should all be done within the next few days, and then we can really plunge in.
The house is old and small, but it has such a nice personality. Some remodel work will be done in the kitchen, and lots of painting ahead. The rooms are all grays or gray-greens, which is the fashion these days, but not particularly warm. I'm a soft white person. Dark gray curtains everywhere too, and they will all be changed to white sheers. Let the light in!!!
We need to start packing and organizing here also. The target date for the moving truck is April 26. This has all happened so quickly, it's still feeling surreal. It's a cute little house with a lovely garden. We'll be cozy and happy there.
