The age-old question: Artist or Crafter? HERE
I consider myself an "artisan" because I'm working with a high level of experience and skill to make things that serve utilitarian purposes, but are also successful visually.

Lovely holiday inspiration HERE
This year brings such an out-of-the-ordinary holiday season for everyone!
We are enjoying varying levels of success here as we seek
new/different ways to celebrate all the winter holidays. Sigh.

I think of myself as a crafter, because I get too impatient to follow through on any artisan beginning. A quilt I bound yesterday is an example. Nicely pieced, nicely quilted, really a lovely little thing. Then I rushed through the binding and it turned out all wonky. I tell my family, use this and wash it and dirty it as much as you want, it is not an heirloom - look at all the mistakes! Still, I could be and kind of wish I'd be more of an artisan, but I know that the lessons that create patience are hard ones, so I will settle for my crafts. :)
