Purpah

Rhiannon has sent a request for a new crib quilt.  I suggested some yellow fabric with a cute mousie print, but she's into 'purpah' these days, so purple it will be.  It's only to be 42" square, so it will work up very quickly.  And needless to say, I have *enough* purple fabric in stash to make several purple crib quilts :)  I pulled these pieces for starters, and I'm looking forward to puttering with this project.

Meanwhile, work inches along with Christmas decorating.  We're reinventing the wheel here.  I'm usually all in with holiday decor, but my December things are snow and pine forest themed, and I don't have the heart to use them here in the tropics, at least not this first year while the loss is still so fresh in my heart.  Sigh.  Poinsettias seem to be appropriate for now, but we'll have to see where things end up.  At least I have my familiar personal quilt collection to surround myself with from month to month.  It's a thread of comforting continuity for me.
