First announcement came out yesterday for
a major new sew-along:
This is a stunning quilt from the collection at The Art Institute of Chicago. The original quilt was created in 1842. It's a friendship quilt with a beautiful assortment of both pieced and appliqued blocks. Barbara Brackman published an informative article about this and other similar Quaker Album quilts at her
Material Culture blog.

The series is being presented by Gay Bomers of Sentimental Stitches as '4 blocks a month', and will run for 21 months -- a long term commitment! This project is being compared to 'Dear Jane' in scope and complexity. The first block set is scheduled for release on September 15.
I do have a large collection of red/green/yellow/pink calicoes, which are the feature fabrics in this quilt. Still thinking about it . . . but I'm probably in :)
