2018 Finish-A-Long

I've had a chance to do some inventorying, and I've come up with a list of hope-to-finish-soon projects.  These are all tops I pieced during 2017.  They all need to be quilted and bound, and already have assigned backing yardage. I still have a laundry basket full of other UFOs at lesser stages of completion -- I'll get to those later.

I'm going to link to this Finish-A-Long challenge.  It's not likely I'll get to all of these this quarter, but at least now this group is accounted for and organized to go.

1.  En Provence
I hope to use this one here in my home
during Spring/Easter

2.  Gypsy Wife
I'm also planning to use this one here at home
this Spring

3.  Plaid Rails
These were accumulated blocks from Rainbow Scrap Challenge.  This will be a raffle prize for the Historical Society fundraiser.

4.  Paducah 9-patch
Inspired by the other nickel quilts I worked on last year, I did this one from Pat Speth's book using fabrics from my own stash.  I'll probably keep this one.

5.  Yankee Diary
Barbara Brackman's 2017 Civil War BOM.  Needs blue borders.  Planning to use red perle cotton and do big-stitch hand quilting.  I will keep this one for my own collection and it would be nice to have it done for summer/patriotic season.

It looks like you pieced some lovely quilts last year. Will you be quilting them or sending them off to the quilter?

Best of luck!

Wow, you have some great quilts to layer and finish, Jeanne. There are several that I really like but all are beautiful. I notice that you have a piece of fabric from Connecting Threads (the white with small read and green motifs) as a back for your Gypsy Wife. How does it feel? Is it soft and smooth? Is it stiff? A little dense or not? I struggle buying fabrics online because when they arrive, they're not quite what I was expecting. It makes me hesitate.

You are so organized. Good luck with your goals. Thanks for being part of the linky party on behalf of the 2018 FAL hosts
