Block work

Setting some goals for myself this week - here are a couple of UFOs whose time has come :)

This first one is an incomplete block set from a guild sew-along.  The bundle is maybe three years old.  The project requires 49 blocks total, and only I need to make twelve more blocks and then assemble the top.  With a plain border it will be queen-size.

And this one is a more current block-of-the-week sew-along that I want to conclude.  I need to make four more blocks plus some border pieces, and then assemble.  This one's just going to be lap size.

Very do-able, both targets involve only sixteen blocks total to piece and they're all already cut and in little baggies.  Then I just need to lay out the blocks and sew 'em up!  No designing or decision-making here, just time at the machine.

My current UFO tally is nine tops and twelve or so block sets, not counting these two.  I get to feeling bogged down by stuff I "should" do, and that distracts me from projects I want to be excited about.  So I'm going to make a concentrated effort to get some of this backlog moved along and off my mind!
