has been released today.
We are sewing the LONE ELM block this month ...
... and learning about landmarks along the trail on
the journey west.
I enjoy following Barbara's study series: in addition to teaching us about all sorts of historical facts and trivia, she gives us blocks that are challenging enough to be interesting and fun.
I'm up to date on this series!

I really like the variety of fabrics in your elm tree. I'm just starting mine; for some reason the 9 inch piece of fabric for the tree trunk did not fit the square so have just unsewed that and will cut a 10 inch piece. Did you have a similar issue with that portion of the block or is it just me making things difficult for myself?!
