Christmas in the Village

What a nice afternoon! We attended an absolutely hilarious performance of A Christmas Carol Askew at our local Performing Arts Center. (youtube video here)  Just to give you an idea: Scrooge was visited by Bob Marley rather than Jacob Marley,  Elvis was the Ghost of Christmas Past, and Buddy the Elf was the Ghost of Christmas Present.  We always have such a good time at our community theater productions!

Afterwards, we went out to dinner with friends, and enjoyed the festive lights and hustle-bustle of holiday guests in our little town.

Many thousands of visitors come up here from the Los Angeles area to enjoy Christmas in the mountains, so things are very much busier than usual. On a normal Sunday evening it's so quiet in the Village that the raccoons are out on the sidewalk in front of the ice cream shop by 7:00 p.m., but we're in Full Holiday Mode here for the next two weeks!
