A very special weekend

 

The Traveling Wall Memorial was here in Big Bear this weekend.  The setting at the lake was breathtaking, and the event was moving and poignant and unforgettable.

 

 

 

 

 

In conjunction with the Wall exhibit, my Busy Bears Quilt Guild held a two-day sew-in and display.  We made eight quilts to be sent to Afghanistan for the Wounded Warriors project.  Twenty four ladies came to sew with us, and our display of patriotic quilts was well-attended by the public after they paid their respects at the Wall.  This is a very special community, and I'm honored to live here.
