Thanks for all the nice compliments about our red house! We were working out in front the other afternoon and a stranger actually stopped her car to tell us that she liked it :) It really feels right -- a cheerful welcoming color. Can't wait to see how it looks against the snow! And seriously, if you're ever in the area, give me a holler and we'll plan a get-together -- you're all welcome!
It's a busy week. Some friends from Las Vegas left yesterday, and more guests are coming over the weekend. Meanwhile, tomorrow morning I'm hostessing my new friendship group, Stitchy Fingers. That will be about ten or so quilty ladies gabbing and snacking -- Tony's going to escape to my Dad's house to paint his porch railings. Never a dull moment here!

I've been puttering a bit with one of the patterns from Lynda Hall's Primitive Youngins book, and have a sample block worked up. I'm doing an "apple slices" color combo, but I may change the small black "apple seed" triangles ... I'm itching to work on it but won't have a chance to get back to it until next week.
I just heard that Lynda will be releasing a new book in a few weeks. If you're a "prim" fan, watch for A Little Porch Time, due out in mid-July.

Oh my goodness. I just drove by your house yesterday when I was visiting my sister in Big Bear! I didn't know you were part of my yahoo group, Primitivefolkartquilting! I just happened to look at the blogs listed on the group and found yours! I will definitely have to make a stop and say hello, and introduce my sister to you too. She lives around the corner from you. Small world!
