We're still just delighted with the novelty of winter weather. I know we'll get tired of it by February, but for now we're feeling like this is a fairy tale!! Those are coyote tracks on the left side of the road in the picture of Tony. The dogs aren't sure what to make of it all, but Elvie is still out there along the fence looking for chipmunks. The critters love the sunflower seeds we put out. Lots of birds coming to the feeders, too, but the squirrels dominate.

How lovely to see pics of you, in your snow wonderland.
Those tree trunks are amazing!
I've never been a big snow fan - I can always end up horizontal even on level ground in the most sensible footwear but your snow looks like proper snow not the slushy grotty apology for it that we get in small enough quantities to be no use for fun activities but large enough quantities to grind the entire population to a crawling gridlock in every town
Oh, it's beautiful and you all look so happy! That's good to see!
Poor Elvis, I think he needs a coat! But he looks like he's enjoying himself.
Beautiful!
Great pics, how fun for you to share this and really get to enjoy it together now that you're residents of the mountains!
Oh, you make me wish for show AND you make me SO homesick for my little Douglas Island in my home state of Alaska. Heading up in January to care for my parents and make kuspuks in the school again! Snow...here I come. Oregon is freezing cold and frosty...that's is so far!
You sound so content and happy now! Looks like life IS good for you and your family. I'm so happy things turned out so well!
Love your new blog and the thoughts you have added to each block@
This will be our 4th winter in MN and everyone thinks I'm crazy but I feel the exact same way -- I love the snow and winter!
