Harvest Moon


I continue to stitch along slowly on these applique blocks in the evenings, although it's challenging to do the 'black thread on black fabric' ones at night.  I guess my eyes aren't as good as they used to be :)


Now that two rows are done, I can begin to see how the color variations are playing together.  This is my favorite part of quiltmaking: seeing all the fabrics I've chosen suddenly start to join forces and become a cohesive color statement.  I have 30 cheddar/black fabric combos pulled for now, so this is 1/3 of the blocks.  If the project continues to hold my interest, I may go on to more blocks.

Love your cheddar blocks.. on my list.. something with cheddar.. maybe with navy??
