MAPLE DONUTS

 
MAPLE DONUTS
 
DONUTS 
3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup  brown sugar
1/4 cup instant potato flakes
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg
6 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons cooking oil
1/2 teaspoon maple flavoring

GLAZE
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons powder sugar
dash salt
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon maple flavoring
chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 375*
Prepare a standard-size donut pan with nonstick spray.
Combine donut ingredients in a mixing bowl and stir until well-combined.
Fill each donut form in pan about half full.
Bake at 375* about 14 minutes, until golden brown around the edges.
While donuts are baking, whisk together glaze ingredients.
Remove donuts from pan and transfer to a cooling rack.
Drizzle with glaze and sprinkle with chopped walnuts if desired.

Makes 6 donuts.
