We had a fun silly tasty Summer Solstice dinner. Everything yellow for sunshine: yellow tablecloth and dishes, yellow daisies for the centerpiece. The enchanting menu included mustard cheese dip with pita chips; grilled honey-mustard chicken; corn-filled ravioli topped with cream-corn alfredo sauce; salad with yellow tomatoes, yellow squash, yellow bell peppers and corn tossed in a light white wine vinegar dressing; and even yellow kiwi slices. For dessert, a lovely honey-lemon beehive cake topped with chopped peaches. I didn't remember to take any pictures of the food, but it was all a great hit. It was officially voted to be an annual event henceforth, a complement to our ever-popular blue winter solstice party.
